STUDY PORTFOLIO

Once upon a time I was walking along a black path. It was hot & my mouf was parched. Then, sensing that a heat-stroke was imminent, I took shelter along a wall. But this was no ordinary wall, for it contained a door. "A door to where I wonder?", thought I. As I pushed through, I was greeted by a great kiss of icy soothing. The chamber beyond the door had air that was changed, it was "conditioned" to be cool. I smiled.

As I sat down on some chairs to rest my weary legs, a chamber guardian greeted me. "Greetings, how may I assist you?", said her. I responded "I am questing for that which I do not know. Can you help me?". The guardian then paused, and asked me to "Wait here".

As I waited, I peered around to see if this was an insidious trap by foul creatures. But nay, I saw but food, scrolls, & drinks piled around. No, this was no dark dungeon, it was a place of contemplation & much learning. My mouf uttered something quite suddenly on its own, which took me by surprise. It was about wanting a taste of those sweet drinks. No! I must steel my mind, for said drinks have not been treated by an ice blast spell!

The guardian then returned with a large sparkling scroll in her hands. She pointed to a small glowing line of characters, & told me "...this is your destiny young journeyman. To accept, please sign here...". In that instant a glowing feathery pen appeared beside my head. I...I took it by the stem & signed my name on the magical scroll. As I lifted the pen from the scroll, the guardian, the pen, & the scroll all disappeared!!

I smiled, for I had finally started on my quest...
